Being properly hydrated also softens our arteries, which helps to keep our BP down. Aim to drink two litres of water a day. By eating a portion of oily fish two to three times a week we can lower our blood pressure very quickly. Eat salmon, sardines, mackerel and tuna. They are all rich in Omega 3, which also helps lower our cholesterol.
